About the NOV (National Oilwell Varco) Apprenticeships 2022
The NOV (National Oilwell Varco) is offering professional apprenticeship programmes for the trades of Boilermaker, CNC Turner, and Millwright in Port Elizabeth. The NOV (National Oilwell Varco) Apprenticeships is a great opportunity for anybody who’s seeking for both practical and theoretical knowledge to further develop their career while performing on-the-job training sessions in a qualified trade school.

There are three (3) apprenticeship positions available, as broken down below:

  • X1 Boilermaker
  • X1 CNC Turner
  • X1 Millwright

As an apprentice, you will need to perform the following duties:

  • Explanation of work instructions (shop documents), as well as simplifying workflow by reading drawing information and performing work instructions in accordance with the work management system
  • As part of the training program, you must be able to pass theoretical and practical assessments at various levels
  • According to the training modules, the whole theoretical and practical syllabus is covered
  • Report any difficulties with health, safety, or productivity through the proper channels
  • Be able to operate all of the fabrication department’s machining equipment
  • Practical on-the-job training exposure
  • Work to ensure that component components are turned to a high standard of quality
  • Assisting with the distribution of maintenance procedures.
