Eligibility Criteria
Everyone is encouraged to apply for the Northam Zondereinde Bursaries. But before you get to your applications, candidates must double check their qualifications with the programme’s eligibility criteria. Each of these items below will determine the success rate of your applications. To be considered for the bursaries, candidates are advised to meet all of these requirements. Failure to do so may not get you automatically disqualified, but it could decrease your chances of getting accepted by the selection committee.

The Northam Zondereinde Bursaries Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

  • Students must display prospective academic results
  • Show proof of admission to a recognized South African University or University of Technology
  • Pursues either one of the study fields mentioned above
  • Preference will be offered to candidates residing in the surrounding areas of the mining operations.

Candidates must prepare the following documents below:

  • A legitimate South African Identity Document
  • Matric certificate if completed Matric, OR Grade 11 final results & Matric latest results if currently in Matric
  • An official National Senior Certificate (must pass all subjects with an average aggregate score or higher)
  • If you are studying towards a National Senior Certificate at the moment, please provide your Grade 11 and Grade 12 results instead
  • If you are a 1st year student, please provide a Proof of University admission
  • Current academic track record of all your results this academic year
  • Your most updated Curriculum Vitae.

All documents must be included in your application procedure before sending them to the provided email address. Failure to submit a complete application will automatically disqualify you from the registration programme.

Additionally, candidates are expected to provide accurate information about themselves on the documents they submit. Candidates will be subjected to further evaluation and vetting. Candidates found to be falsifying any aspects of their applications will not be considered for the programme.

Submissions must be made via email only. The selection committee does not accept applications sent through other methods such as hand delivery or fax.

Closing Date
Applications for the Northam Zondereinde Bursaries must be submitted before the closing date on 28 February 2022.

The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late submissions. Candidates discovered to be sending in their applications past the deadline will not be acknowledged by the selection committee.

Northam Zondereinde reserves all rights to make an appointment or not during the recruitment process. All decisions made by the selection committee are final.
