Eligibility Criteria

  • Does not have a prior criminal track record
  • Complies to the medical assessments in accordance in the SANDF.

2. GENERAL – MSDS (Military Skills Development System) 2022

  • Currently between 18-22 years old and has finished Grade 12 or N3 with 6 subjects
  • Or, currently between 22-26 years old and has a 3-year tertiary qualification.

3. PILOTS/NAVIGATORS/ENGINEERS/TECHNICAL – MSDS (Military Skills Development System) 2022
a. PILOTS/NAVIGATORS

  • Officially recognized as a members who owns a Commercial Pilots License (does not exceed more than 24 years) with Mathematics and Physical Science (Level 4)
  • Currently between 22-26 years old and has a relevant tertiary qualification and has complete
  • Grade 12 with Level 4 Mathematics and Physical Science
  • Or, currently between 18-24 years old and has finished Grade 12 or N3 with 6 subjects
  • Does not have a hearing impairment
  • Has a 6/6 eye vision
  • Have the following measurements:
    • Minimum Height –1600mm, Maximum Height –1900mm
    • Minimum Weight – 53kg; Maximum – 102kg

b. ENGINEERS

  • Currently between 18-24 years old and has finished Grade 12
  • Or, currently between 22-26 years old and has a relevant tertiary qualification and has complete Grade 12 with Level 6 Mathematics and Physical Science
  • English Level 5
  • Has an Admission Point Score of 35 excluding Life Orientation.

c. TECHNICAL

  • Currently between 18-22 years old and has finished Grade 12 or N3 with 6 subjects
  • Or, currently between 22-26 years old and has an N4, N5, and N6 qualification.

Closing Date
Applications for the MSDS (Military Skills Development System) 2022 – South African Air Force must be submitted before the closing date on 30 July 2021.
