About the Momentum Metropolitan Actuarial Science Youth Bursary 2024
Momentum Metropolitan is currently offering a bursary programme for candidates keen on obtaining financial aid in the education field of Actuarial Science. The Momentum Metropolitan Actuarial Science Youth Bursary recognizes the importance of possessing the right skills and competencies in an industry where excellent service sets individuals apart. Through our bursary program, eligible external youth candidates are offered a chance to concentrate on their studies without being burdened by the financial costs of university education. This program positions you to excel and reach your ultimate aspiration of becoming a certified actuary.

As a bursary recipient, you will be required to perform the following duties:

• Complete the qualification within the specified time frame set by the University, adhering to the agreed-upon timelines when the bursary was granted
• Ensure successful completion of all subjects in each academic year
• Fulfill the course entry requirements for the Actuarial degree’s subsequent academic year
  Provide Momentum Metropolitan with copies of academic results/records in July and December every year
• Submit copies of tuition fees, accommodation and meal expenses, and any other Bursary-related costs to Momentum Metropolitan
• Graduate with a minimum of 4 Exemptions upon completion of the Actuarial degree
• Demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact in the Actuarial Profession and prepare to join Momentum Metropolitan upon graduation.

Additionally, successful bursars will be entitled to the following items:

• Have your annual registration costs covered
• Receive financial support for tuition fees
• Benefit from accommodation and meal expenses in residence
• Be provided with an allowance for prescribed textbooks
• Receive a travel allowance (for return flights if studying outside your hometown)
• Receive a pocket money allowance
• Receive academic and social support, including mentor support and/or vacation work opportunities.

• Demonstrate effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities
• Be organized, self-disciplined, and self-motivated
