Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the Modikwa Platinum Mine Learnerships must adhere to the criteria that’s attached to the programme. The Modikwa Platinum Mine Learnerships Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
- Successfully finished their Grade 12 qualification in Maths (not Mathematics Literacy) and Science
- Owns at least an N2 qualification with 4-5 subjects according to the Discipline
- Requirements for the Engineering Learnership
- Possesses an NCV Level – 4 qualification with an average aggregate score of 40% for all subjects
- Officially recognized as a legitimate citizen of South Africa
- Physically and medically healthy for the working conditions
- Clear from any criminal track records
- Prepared to undertake a Medical Fitness examination
- Willing to work under rigorous underground/surface conditions filled with dust
- Be responsible for their own accommodation and transportation costs.
Note: preference is offered to candidates originating from designated groups that meet the company’s Employment Equity Plan and their implemented targets. These include employees and residents of Modikwa’s host communities.
