The Mercedes-Benz South Africa Bursary Programme Requirements
The Mercedes-Benz South Africa Bursary Programme seeks out for well-deserving individuals based on a list of tight criteria that they have established before hand. Each of these requirements plays a crucial role in whether your application will be considered as a success or not. Therefore, all candidates should fully adhere to these requirements.

The Mercedes-Benz South Africa Bursary Programme requirements are as follows:

  • Proof a South African nationality or permanent residency
  • Students who have pursued a Grade 12 education
  • Has Grade 12 results of an average of 65%, with key subjects of Mathematics and Physical Science (Engineering stream)
  • Currently admitted into a tertiary institution (preference will be given to 1st and 2nd year students)
  • Has an average score of 65% during the first semester of their tertiary education.

In an effort to become a company that is diverse and inclusive, the bursary programme also welcomes its arms to people who come from disadvantageous backgrounds, such as financially-assisted individuals, people with disabilities, females, and many more types of minorities as well.

Like most other online application systems, you will need to create an account beforehand to store in your application forms and supporting documentations. Create your account first, and then we can move on to the rest of the application procedure.

Moving on, once you have engaged yourself within the application system, you will be asked to upload scans of these following items, which includes:

  • An attachment of your most recent Curriculum Vitae (preferably in PDF format)
  • A valid copy of your Grade 11/12 academic scores/an academic transcript of your tertiary studies
  • A valid copy of your identification.

As a friendly reminder, all applications are to be sent through the online application portal only. Any other forms of applications that are submitted through e-mail shall not be acknowledged by the committee and will therefore be automatically disqualified from the application procedure.

Please also take note that all application forms must be complete, along with the necessary documents. If any candidate’s application forms are to be found incomplete or submitted late, they will not be considered for the programme as well.

Closing date this bursary registration is 26 January 2024.

All announcements will be made within 50 days after the closing date. If you have not been notified after those 50 days are up, we regret to inform you that your application has been deemed unsuccessful.
