About the Investec Bursaries 2024
Investec is giving out financial assistance in the form of bursaries to South African students who require immediate aid to pursue their academic pursuits. The Investec Bursaries is a wonderful opportunity that’s opening their arms to students in university with vast academic potential but have trouble getting education due to monetary issues.

At the moment, the Investec Bursaries is available for full-time students who are chasing after an undergraduate university degree. The Investec Bursaries is open for the following study fields:

  • BSc Computer Science
  • Commerce (Economics, Business Economics, Accounting, Investments and Finance)
  • BCom Informatics
  • BIT – Bachelor of Information Technology
  • Business Science
  • Engineering
  • Commercial LLB
  • BSc Information Technology
  • BIS – Bachelor of Information Science
  • Science and Mathematics
  • Actuarial Science
  • Information Technology (B Sc)
  • Medicine Degrees (MBCHB)

Candidates must apply to their respective fields and universities based on the current admissions standards.

Eligibility Criteria
If you wish to sign up for the Investec Bursaries, it’s time to get a head start on the eligibility criteria. Each of these items will determine whether you have what it takes to receive credible financial assistance for your studies. To guarantee a successful application, candidates mare advised to meet all of the items below. Failure to do so might not get you kicked off of the registration. However, it could put your applications in a risky situation.

The Investec Bursaries Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

  • Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa
  • Must be in Matric or currently in the first year of university
  • Currently or planning to pursue a full-time undergraduate study in one of the fields mentioed above
  • Currently or planning to pursue your eduction in a South African public university
  • Obtained at least 70% for Mathematics in Matric (not Maths Literacy)
  • Obtained at least 70% for English FAL or 65% for English HL in Matric
  • Obtained at least 50% for other Matric subjects
  • Obtained an average aggregate score of at least 60% for your first semester examination (if you are currently studying in university)
  • Must not be studying in a private tertiary institution
  • If you are an Actuarial Science applicant, you will need to be in your first yer of study.

Candidates must process their applications on the portal that has been provided above. Be sure to read through the application instructions before starting on it.

Additionally, candidates must provide the following documents in their online applications:

  • Your Identity Document/Passport/Birth Certificate/Refugee Permit
  • Your Parent’s or Guardian’s Proof of Address
  • Consent form signed
  • Proof of Address
  • National Senior Certificate
  • Legitimate proof of all your academic results (up-to-date)
  • Your guardian/parents’ Proof of Income/Death Certificate
  • Profile picture
  • Proof of Acceptance/Registration
  • Full accademic record (if applicable).

These documents must be included in your applications in order to proceed. Failure to provide everything might disqualify your applications.

Closing Date
Applications for the Investec Bursaries must be submitted before the closing date on 30 September 2023.

If you are keen on signing up for the bursaries, it’s recommended that you start preparing your applications as soon as possible. This will leave you with more time to double-check the contents of your registration.

Late applications are not tolerated by the selection committee. Candidates discovered to be making their submissions past the closing date will not be considered by the programme.
