About the Implats (Impala Platinum) Instrument Technician Learnership 2021-2023
Impala Platinum (Implats) is providing Instrument Technician Learnerships for passionate candidates interested in acquiring work knowledge in the company. The Implats Instrument Technician Learnership is a programme that turns South African individuals into credible learners of the mining and metals industry. Upon acceptance into the learnership, participants are subjected to theoretical assessments and practical working solutions designed to provide the basic foundation of becoming an Instrument Technician. Under the supervision of professional training providers, learners are in for a treat with this learnership opportunity.

The Implats Instrument Technician Learnership will be conducted of the course of twenty four (24) months. During this learnership period, participants will be subjected to a trade set which is included in the training modules. The training programme is under the supervision of the MQA. Since the learnership particularly deals with the profession of Instrument Technician, learners will be exposed to the inner workings of plant availability as well as system controls. Learners are expected to be proactive in providing solutions to problems occurring in the production operations. Learners are to grasp new skills throughout the programme, such as PLC programming, plant instrumentation, network settings, and SCADA.

• Possess a profound understanding of computer literacy, and sound calculation
