The IFA (Independent Field Advertiser) Bursary is offering coverage of up to R60 000. This funding will be allocated to the students fees, prescribed study materials, relevant equipment, and accommodation costs. All funding will be directly transferred to your respective institution. Therefore, the bursar will not receive any cash amounts.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in the IFA (Independent Field Advertiser) Bursary must fulfill an eligibility criteria before proceeding with their applications. The IFA (Independent Field Advertiser) Bursary Eligibility Criteria are as follows:

  • Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa
  • Recognized as the child of an active IFA who needs to pay off business expenses
  • Obtained at least an average aggregate score of 60% for Grade 11/Grade 12 results slip
  • Pursuing towards a full-time study.

Additionally, candidates are required to send in the following documents:

  • South African Identity Document
  • Grade 11 results slip
  • Grade 12 results slip (or any relevant progress report)
  • Official Matric/NSC results slip (if you have finished Grade 12)
  • Available progress reports (if you are a first year student)
  • Payslips or sworn statements from your parents/guardians (if employed)
  • Your parents’/guardian’s most recent financial statements (if self-employed)
  • Your parents’/guardian’s sworn affidavits (if unemployed)
  • Your parents’ death certificates (if deceased)
  • Proof a legal guardianship (if required)
  • A sworn statement issued by at least one parent (if divorced/separated)
  • Letter of motivation from parents/guardian.

All these documents should be included in your application dossier. Incomplete application dossiers will not be considered by the selection committee.

Applications will be subjected to further evaluation and vetting procedures to verify the validity of candidates. Anyone discovered to be falsifying any aspects of their applications will be disqualified from the registration period.

Candidates must process their applications through the methods provided above. Submissions made through other methods, such as postal carriage or fax, will not be accepted by the selection committee.

Closing Date
Applications for the IFA (Independent Field Advertiser) Bursary must be submitted before the closing date on 30 April 2021.

The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late submissions. Anyone discovered to be making their submissions past the deadline will not be considered for the programme.

  1. I’m 42 yrs old I’m nt working and also need financial assistent I’m doing studying wth Sants doing teaching July I wil b doing my second year Degree in foundation phase, Am I also allowed to apply for this bursary? Need help financially
