About the Feltex Millwright Apprenticeship 2026-2030
The Feltex Millwright Apprenticeship 2026-2030 offers aspiring artisans an opportunity to receive structured technical training while gaining practical experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The programme is aimed at developing skilled Millwright artisans through both theoretical learning and workplace-based training.
Successful applicants will enter into a four-year apprenticeship agreement registered with MERSETA and will receive exposure to industrial maintenance systems, electrical and fitter training, and technical development within the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities and Training Exposure
- Participate in practical workplace training focused on Millwright skills development
- Gain on-the-job experience within a heavy industrial production environment
- Attend Electrical and Fitter training at an accredited training centre
- Complete technical and further education training requirements where applicable
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment
- Develop communication, teamwork, customer service, and quality compliance skills
- Apply problem-solving techniques within maintenance and manufacturing operations
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within the maintenance team.
Apprenticeship Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification with Mathematics and Science
- N3 qualification including Electrical/Fitter Trade Theory, Engineering Science, and Mathematics
- Good communication and decision-making abilities
- Strong willingness to learn and apply technical knowledge
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Good problem-solving capabilities
- Physically fit with strong hand-eye coordination
- Willingness to work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
- Must be comfortable working at heights
- Prepared to travel and undergo training away from home when required
- Commitment to completing technical college subjects and technical training programmes.
