The EF (English First) Residence Advisor Internship offers a unique opportunity for a talented individual to join their dynamic team. This position calls for a motivated, responsible, and community-oriented person ready to thrive in an international environment. Previous experience as a Resident Advisor (RA) is a bonus, but not a requirement. The RA will report directly to the Accommodations Manager, assisting with various tasks as needed.

Shifts for this position primarily occur during nights and weekends, with two full days or four half days spent at the school in the accommodation office. Additionally, there may be occasional requests for assistance with EF events and activities. While on duty, the RA will handle administrative tasks and be on call in the residence to support students with their needs and queries. They will also assist with student check-ins every weekend, with Sundays being the most crucial day. Collaboration with building management is also a key part of the role, which involves maintaining a logbook of inspections. The RA will help plan and organize activities, conduct weekly room checks, and attend staff meetings. There may be additional shifts to accommodate school operations.

EF is seeking RAs who are not only friendly and personable but also capable of building meaningful connections with students while managing discipline effectively. The part-time nature of the role allows the RA time to pursue additional qualifications, though it is important that any night classes do not interfere with RA duties during the week. As an RA at EF International Language Campuses, the selected individual will receive free accommodation at the EF Residence in Green Point, Cape Town, along with a monthly allowance. The position also provides the opportunity to participate in school-arranged activities and host personal events with the residence students.
