About Dis-Chem Pharmacies
Dis-Chem was established when Ivan and Lynette Saltzman, newly certified pharmacists, launched their first retail pharmacy in Mondeor, a suburb south of Johannesburg, South Africa. In addition to providing product categories that were previously unavailable in South African pharmacies, the retail pharmacy was the first to introduce the concept of a budget pharmacy to the country.
Professional Management Review has recognized the firm as the finest pharmacy chain in the nation, while readers of The Star Your Choice and Pretoria News have voted the company as the best pharmacy, best medical supply store, and best health store. Thanks to their supportive team, incredible expertise, and robust work ethic, the company continues to fulfill customers’ needs with ease and utmost professionalism – with a cost-friendly and accessible price.
