  • B.Sc. Entomology
  • B.Sc. Pasture Science
  • B.Sc. Viticulture and Oenology
  • B.Sc. Animal Science
  • B.Sc. Food Science
  • B.Sc. Plant Pathology.

C. Mathematics and Physical Science: 5 (70-79)

  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc.)
  • B.Sc. Bioresource Engineering (Agricultural Engineering)

Mathematics and Physical Science: 4 (50–59)

  • National Diploma/B Degree in Town/Urban and Regional Planning
  • National Diploma/B Degree in Geomatics/Land Surveying/GIS

Mathematics and Physical Science/Geography 5 (60–69)

  • B.Sc. Town/Urban and Regional Planning
  • B.Sc./BA Geo-Informatics/Geographic Information Science

Candidates must certified copies of the documents below:

  • Identity Document (candidates)
  • Identity Document (parents/guardians)
  • Relevant qualification
  • Academic Record/Grade 12 results slip and University acceptance letter*
  • Household family income (salary advice must not be older than 3 months)
  • A confirmation letter from SASSA (if applicable)
  • Legitimate proof of unemployed from the Department of Labour (if applicable)
  • Death Certificates (if applicable).

*Important Note: Candidates who currently do not have their University acceptance letter/final results and are still waiting for those documents can still submit their applications.

All these documents should be included in dossier. Incomplete applications will automatically be disqualified from registrations.

Closing Date
Applications for the DALRRD (Dept of Agriculture, Land Reform, and Rural Development) Bursaries 2024 must be submitted before the closing date on 31 October 2023.

Late applications will not be accepted by the selection committee under any circumstances. Submissions that are received after the closing date will not be recognized during the time of registration.

It is recommended that candidates submit their applications as soon as possible after learning of their selection. Announcements will only be made to shortlisted candidates. If you do not hear back from the selection committee within 14 days past the Grade 12 results slip announcements, and right after the National Bursary Committee are done with the selection phase, we regret to inform you that your applications has not been successful.

At any stage throughout the recruiting process, DALRRD retains the right to make or refuse to make a decision on whether to hire a candidate. The selecting committee’s judgments are final and binding on all parties involved.

  1. I need this funding because I have great intentions regarding the agriculture sector given the states incentive of land reform and redistribution, I believe with the assistance of this funding I could make a great contribution towards the land reform policy
