About the CoJ (City of Johannesburg) Human Settlements Internship 2026
CoJ (City of Johannesburg) is searching for candidates who would like practical work exposure in the Human Settlements department with their internship. The CoJ (City of Johannesburg) Human Settlements Internship requires the incumbent to perform developmental-level professional administrative duties, including research and analytical tasks, in support of the Business Management Directorate within the Department of Human Settlements.
The role involves active participation in the Directorate’s daily operations, encompassing general office administration, monitoring and evaluation processes, risk management activities, regulatory compliance, and human resources support functions. The incumbent is also expected to contribute to administrative responsibilities linked to short-, medium-, and long-term strategic planning initiatives, ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
In addition, the role includes providing support in the preparation and development of key strategic documents such as the Business Plan, Quarterly Reports, and strategic planning concept notes, thereby contributing to informed decision-making and effective organisational planning.
The selected applicants of the CoJ (City of Johannesburg) Human Settlements Internship will be entitled to the salary below:
- Qualification completed with min 360 credits: R10 109,86 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)
- Enrolled as a Student: R4 951,88 pm (Basic Salary, no benefits)
