About the COFCO Fitter and Electrical Apprenticeship 2025
COFCO is currently searching for candidates who need practical work exposure in the field of Fitter and Electrical through their apprenticeship programme. The COFCO Fitter and Electrical Apprenticeship Program presents an excellent opportunity for highly motivated individuals to become part of the team as Fitter and Electrical Fitter Apprentices.
This comprehensive and structured program is designed to provide participants with practical, hands-on experience, specialized technical training, and professional mentorship, enabling them to develop a strong foundation in both mechanical and electrical fitting. Through this program, apprentices will gain the essential skills and knowledge required to advance toward becoming qualified Artisans. Standerton Oil Mills (Pty) Ltd is specifically seeking to recruit local youth from the Lekwa area to join this initiative.
You will be required to perform the duties below:
- Assist experienced Fitters and Electrical Fitters with the servicing, setup, and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Gain proficiency in understanding and interpreting technical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical schematics
- Contribute to scheduled inspections and help carry out preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Comply with all established safety regulations and adhere strictly to company operational procedures
- Engage in classroom-based learning and hands-on training sessions as required throughout the apprenticeship program.
The COFCO Fitter and Electrical Apprenticeship officially begins on 01 April 2026.
