About the Clicks Youth Employment Programme 2026
The Youth Employment Programme is designed to provide unemployed young individuals with structured learning and practical workplace exposure within the retail environment. The programme combines theoretical classroom-based instruction with hands-on training conducted in an operational retail store.
Participants will gain insight into store operations, customer engagement, and checkout procedures within the health and beauty retail sector. Throughout the programme, learners will be guided and assessed to ensure competency development aligned with occupational standards.
Key responsibilities and learning areas include:
- Assisting customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Operating checkout systems under supervision
- Supporting daily store operations and merchandising activities
- Adhering to company policies and operational procedures
- Participating in structured classroom learning sessions
- Maintaining a clean and organized working environment.
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a NQF Level 2 Checkout Operator occupational qualification, enhancing their employability within the retail sector.

Programe Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be between 18 and 29 years of age.
- Have successfully completed Matric.
- Be currently unemployed.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work effectively in a team and show a willingness to learn.
- Ensure you are not currently enrolled in any Learnership or Skills Programme.
