The City of Tshwane is accepting applicants who would like to obtain a proper traineeship to develop their abiltiies and skills as a Metro Police Officer. The City of Tshwane Metro Police Officer Traineeship is currently accepting applications for entry-level Police Trainees. This recruitment drive is open to individuals of all races and genders who are eager to build a career in law enforcement. The programme seeks young, motivated, and capable candidates who are not only physically and mentally fit but also committed to serving their community. The traineeship offers an opportunity to join the Metro Policing Training Programme, designed to equip participants with the knowledge, discipline, and practical skills required for a successful career in metro policing within the City of Tshwane.

Upon successful completion of the programme, candidates will be appointed as functional metro police officers. • Ensure your name does not appear on the sexual or child offenders register and confirm that you have not been dismissed from government service due to misconduct
• Provide proof of South African citizenship and residency within the City of Tshwane metropolitan area; include an affidavit if your surname differs from the property owner’s on the proof of residence
• Fall within the age range of 18 to 35 years
• Undergo a medical evaluation and submit a certificate confirming you are fit for strenuous physical activity, in line with occupational health requirements
• Complete and pass a physical fitness evaluation and assessment
• Agree to undergo and pass a psychometric assessment
• Demonstrate proficiency in English and successfully complete a language assessment

• Avoid having any visible tattoo marks when wearing the official uniform of the service
