About the City of Cape Town Metro Police and Traffic Learnership 2025
The City of Cape Town is looking for applicants who would like to be part of their learnership programme focusing on the Metro Police and Traffic field. The City of Cape Town is offering a valuable learnership opportunity through its Metro Police and Traffic Services Department. This program is open to young, unemployed individuals between the ages of 18 and 34 who meet the necessary eligibility criteria. Successful applicants will be enrolled in a structured learnership in Road Traffic Law Enforcement, aimed at equipping them with essential skills and knowledge for a future in public safety.
The 18-month training program will be conducted by the Public Safety Training College, beginning on 1 June 2025 and concluding on 30 November 2026. During this period, learners will participate in both theoretical and practical components that prepare them for real-world responsibilities in traffic and law enforcement. In recognition of their time and effort, participants will receive a training allowance of R34.91 per hour. This initiative not only contributes to skills development but also supports youth empowerment and employability in the safety and security sector.
