Citadel is launching the IT Infrastructure Support Learnership and is looking for a suitable candidate to join its team at the Claremont location. This program offers a comprehensive learning experience, combining theoretical training with practical workplace exposure to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed for the industry.
You will also be required to perform the duties below:
- Respond to user requests by providing helpdesk support and troubleshooting technical issues
- Keep users informed about the status and resolution of their reported problems
- Generate reports and verify the accuracy of information related to on-site equipment as requested by management
- Offer support for printers and desktop peripherals or assist the network administrator and management in resolving technical issues
- Regularly monitor the availability and overall functionality of laptops, printers, and other peripherals
- Contribute to IT infrastructure rollouts and development projects by providing assistance and feedback
- Log incidents, document issues, and maintain historical records of IT-related problems
- Maintain an up-to-date asset register for laptops and other peripherals within the assigned area or office
- Install laptops in accordance with the provided checklists and guidelines
- Take corrective action or follow instructions to resolve hardware and software issues on desktops
- Meet or exceed the organization’s IT performance standards
- Assist with software licensing compliance and report on all installed licensed software.
- Ensure strict adherence to change control procedures
- Uphold the integrity and professional image of the IT Infrastructure department.
