About the Bell Equipment Apprenticeships 2021
Bell Equipment opening their doors for talented, South African enthusiasts of the industry to participate in their eye-opening apprenticeship programmes. The Bell Equipment Apprenticeships is a wonderful opportunity for future generations of employees who require practical working experience to complement their available qualifications. Through the apprenticeships, selected participants will learn the ways of the company by performing a set of work tasks and duties. The Bell Equipment Apprenticeships is currently available for the following programmes:
- Apprentice Earthmoving Mechanic
- Apprentice Turner
- Apprentice Auto Electrician
Note: the Bell Equipment Apprenticeships are welcoming individuals who can meet the qualifications of the programme. However, first consideration will be offered to permanent team members before reviewing external candidates.

The Bell Equipment Apprenticeships Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
1. Basic Requirements
- Possesses an N2 qualification containing four subjects that are relevant to trade theory (Engineering Drawing, Mathematics, Engineering Science, Fitting & Machining Theory)
- Alternatively, possesses a National Certificate Vocational (NCV) L4 qualification specializing in Fitting & Turning ERD (Engineering Related Design)
- Successfully passed their ABET L4 Assessment (Numeracy & Literacy)
- Proven to be physically and medically healthy for the organization’s rigorous nature of work
- Owns a certified Learners License
- Living in an accommodation at least within 50km radius from the Bell Richards Bay factory.
- Possesses prior working experience in the Engineering Industry
- Has a strong foundation in measuring equipment course and basic hand skills.

Once you have reached the application portal, candidates must fill the online form. All required queries must be answered accurately. Please be kindly informed that the information you provide will be subjected to strict assessment by the selection committee. Falsifying any aspects of your application could lead to disadvantageous consequences towards your applications.
In addition to providing your personal details, candidates must write a brief paragraph regarding their motivation joining the apprenticeship. Make sure it is concise, truthful, and clearly states the reasons why you would greatly benefit from this apprenticeship.
Don’t forget to upload certified copies of the requested school and college qualifications. A copy of your Identity Document and Learners License should be provided as well. Last but not least, don’t forget to send in your most updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
All necessary documents should be uploaded onto the portal. Candidates found to be providing incomplete applications will not be acknowledged by the selection committee.
Applications must be processed through the aforementioned online portal. Candidates are strictly disallowed from sending in their applications through other external methods, such as fax or e-mail.
Applications for the Bell Equipment Apprenticeship must be submitted before the closing date on 22 January 2021.
The selection committee has absolute zero tolerance for late submissions. Candidates found to be sending in their application past the deadline will not be considered for registration.
Since there is a few weeks left until the closing date, candidates are advised to start preparing their applications as soon as possible. You will have more time to check the contents of your applications and qualifications.
Announcements will only be made to shortlisted candidates. Should you not receive any correspondence from the selection committee within 4 weeks past the deadline, we regret to inform you that you have not been selected for the apprenticeship.
