About the Barloworld Apprenticeship 2024
Barloworld is seeking for applicants who would like to obtain an apprenticeship programme to improve their abilities and receive on-the-job practical training. For the Barloworld Apprenticeship, candidates must successfully complete all aspects of theoretical learning, practical training, and skills assessments. This includes applying the skills acquired during training directly to the workplace. Apprentices are required to diligently maintain and complete all necessary documentation, such as logbooks and training records, to document their experience and progress.
Maintaining a safe working environment in accordance with established safety policies and procedures is crucial. Apprentices should aim to meet their individual balanced scorecard and key performance indicators (KPIs), demonstrating effective self-management and ownership of their performance. Accurate reporting on completed tasks and related documentation is essential, alongside a focus on productivity and cost control. Additionally, adhering to safety, risk management, and contamination control measures is a fundamental aspect of the apprenticeship.

Eligibiltiy Criteria
Candidates interested in the Barloworld Apprenticeship must fulfill an eligibility criteria before proceeding with their applications. The Barloworld Apprenticeship Eligibility Criteria are as follows:
- Complete Grade 12/Matric with N3 level Mathematics and Physical Science or FLT (Foundational Learning Certificate)
- Achieve N2 level or higher in Mathematics, Science, Trade Theory, and Technical Drawings
- Earn NCV4 level certification in Mathematics, Physical Science, Industrial Science, Diesel Trade Theory, Technical Drawings, and/or Electrical Trade Theory
- Obtain a valid Driver’s Licence – Code B (to be acquired before the trade test)
- Demonstrate basic analytical ability
- Show basic technical/mechanical reasoning skills
- Exhibit basic numerical reasoning
- Develop spatial visualization skills
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
