About the Ampath Learnership 2023
Ampath is offering a learnership programme for South African applicants to receive theoretical knowledge and practical experience as a Learner Technician. The Ampath Learnership is looking for applicants to be placed in Cedar Road Fourways and prepared to participate in the programme 5 days a week, with weekly hours of 45 hours.

As a learner, candidates will be required to set up routine and stat specimens, and also conduct analysis sessions in the Clinical Pathology Laboratory. On top of that, candidates must also perform the duties below:

  • Maintain positive customer relationships in order to enhance the company’s reputation
  • Carry out administrative responsibilities in order to guarantee that the laboratory’s administration systems are functional
  • Process regular bench work in the laboratory to ensure that specimens are processed as efficiently as possible.

The Ampath Learnership Eligibliity Criteria are as follows:
1. Basic Qualifications

  • Possesses a Grade 12 qualification with the subjects of English, Mathematics, and Biology (Life Sciences)
  • Has an HPCSA Registration in the field of Relevant Register and Practice

2. Prior Experience

  • Has a strong understanding of Meditech systems
  • Knows basic pathology test procedures
  • Has knowledge of Ampath safety policies as well as health and environment procedures.

Candidates who are interested in the programme can choose to apply in two ways. First, you can autofill with your resume, which saves you a lot of time from having to fill in the application form. Alternatively, you can register manually if you do not have a resume.

If you have used this portal beforehand you can use your lat application instead. Just be sure your qualifications and skills are relevant to the current programme.

By submitting your applications, you are granting permission to the selection committee to use your personal information for the purpose of registering you for the event.

Candidates should be able to produce their South African Identity Document or a legitimate South African work permit. Anyone who fails to provide either one of these documents will automatically be disqualified.

Applications will be subjected to additional examination and vetting procedures in order to ensure that they are legitimate. Anyone who is found to be misrepresenting any aspect of their applications will be barred from participating in the registration period.

Candidates are required to submit their applications using the website linked to above. Attempts to submit materials via other means, such as hand delivery or fax, will be rejected by the selection committee.

Closing Date
Applications for the Ampath Learnership 2023 must be submitted before the closing date on 08 December 2022.
