About the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Association Internship 2026
Allan Gray Orbis Foundation is looking for applicants to obtain practical work exposure in the Association department with their structure internship. The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Association Internship supports the Foundation’s vision of building an entrepreneurial and equitable South Africa where meaningful employment opportunities contribute to long-term economic growth and prosperity. Guided by its mission to cultivate a community of responsible entrepreneurs, the program provides aspiring professionals with valuable exposure to the Foundation’s operations and initiatives.

The selected intern will assist with the coordination and management of administrative activities related to the Association. This includes supporting day-to-day operations, maintaining records and documentation, facilitating communication with stakeholders, and contributing to the efficient delivery of programs and projects that advance the Foundation’s objectives.

You will be required to perform the duties below:

  • Provides administrative support for activities and initiatives associated with the Association
  • Maintains and organizes essential records, including project documentation, contracts, reports, and official correspondence
  • Coordinates meeting schedules, arranges appointments, and manages calendars to ensure the smooth execution of key programs and events
  • Monitors email communications and responds to inquiries in a timely, professional, and courteous manner
  • Contributes to the development of event concepts and themes while assisting with event planning activities, including budget preparation, invoice processing, and logistical coordination
  • Oversees event logistics by coordinating venue arrangements, catering services, audiovisual equipment, and other operational requirements
  • Assists in the preparation of event schedules, agendas, attendee lists, and related planning materials
  • Supports the promotion and marketing of events through various communication and engagement channels
  • Provides on-site event assistance, including venue setup, attendee registration, and participant support. Availability for evening and weekend events is required, as many Association activities are conducted outside standard working hours
  • Collaborates closely with the Association Team and Fellow Executive Committee members to advance the Association’s strategic objectives and deliver on its mandate
  • Supports the planning, development, and implementation of special projects, events, and initiatives across multiple portfolios in partnership with the Association Team and Fellow Executive Committee
  • Develops and implements strategies to enhance member engagement through organizational communications while assisting in the creation, editing, and distribution of publications such as brochures, videos, social media content, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
