The Warehouse Operator position at AECI (African Explosives and Chemical Industries) involves supporting the management and flow of raw materials within the facility. - Support the Warehouse Controller during raw material cycle count activities
- Verify that SAP inventory records match physical stock levels on a daily basis
- Conduct raw material metrology checks when required
- Follow all Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in and around all store and magazine areas at all times
- Adhere to all governance standards and comply with established company policies, systems, procedures, and best practices.
General Responsibilities as Warehouse Operator
- Receive and inspect incoming stock for accuracy and quality
- Unload materials from delivery trucks using appropriate equipment
- Store items properly in designated warehouse locations
- Pick and pack orders accurately for dispatch
- Maintain inventory records by logging items into warehouse systems
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Prepare shipping documentation and labels for outgoing goods
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist in inventory audits
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free

- Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors immediately
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations
