About the Adcock Ingram Millwright Apprenticeship 2025
Adcock Ingram looking to obtain qualified practical work exposure based in Aeroton for those who who would like to pursue a professional career as a Millwright. The Adcock Ingram Millwright Apprenticeship requires the apprentice to take responsibility for servicing and maintaining all manufacturing equipment. This involves ensuring that machinery operates in accordance with technical specifications and adheres to established engineering standards. In addition, the apprentice is expected to apply sound engineering practices to guarantee optimal performance, reliability, and safety of the equipment throughout the production process.
You will be required to perform the duties below:
- Collaborates with electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation artisans to support daily operations and technical tasks
- Repairs faulty equipment promptly to restore full functionality and minimize downtime
Performs preventive maintenance activities to ensure that machinery operates efficiently and consistently delivers optimal output - Conducts root cause analyses to identify underlying issues and implement measures that prevent repeated failures
- Completes job cards accurately and on time, ensuring that all essential details and maintenance records are properly captured
- Ensures that all equipment is secured and made safe prior to commencing work, while verifying that safety devices and protective equipment remain functional at all times
- Complies with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in line with Adcock Ingram Critical Care (Pty) Ltd requirements
- Determines which parts require replacement and identifies any additional work necessary during repairs
- Assesses equipment during inspections to decide whether further intervention or corrective action is needed
- Recommends additional activities or improvements that will enhance overall equipment performance
- Develops and strengthens technical skills with the goal of working independently once adequate training has been completed.
