The Absa Apprenticeship requires you to actively engage in a structured learnership and training experience designed to enhance both personal growth and organizational development. You will be required to perform the duties below:

  • Greet and assist all walk-in clients, ensuring they receive outstanding service on a daily basis
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism in all customer interactions
  • Handle customer complaints in a prompt and effective manner
  • Collect all relevant information regarding customer complaints, accurately enter the details into the Bank’s Online Complaints (BOC) system, and follow up to resolve any issues that can be addressed at the initial point of contact
  • Promote and recommend bank products to customers while working toward meeting assigned sales targets
  • Receive and log all hand-delivered mail, then forward it to the Mail Centre for proper processing
  • Keep organized records of both incoming and outgoing courier receipts for future tracking and reference
  • Consistently uphold professionalism in every customer service interaction
  • Deliver top-quality service to every walk-in client and handle their needs, inquiries, and complaints with care and efficiency
  • Engage in tasks that involve continuous visual focus, attentive listening, extended periods of sitting, and regular use of telephones and computers
  • Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines and carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Submit a Higher Certificate or an Advanced National (Vocational) Certificate in Business, Commerce, or Management Studies, as this qualification is required
  • Engage in frequent visual tasks, active listening, prolonged sitting, and consistent use of the telephone and computer
  • Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines and meet the necessary compliance requirements
  • Ensure you have completed a business-related degree within the last two years from the date of this advertisement, and attach your graduation certificate
  • Provide your academic transcript showing a minimum CGPA of 3.6 or equivalent to a Second Class Upper Division, and attach the official transcript
  • Submit proof of at least two Principal Passes at ‘A’ Level by attaching the corresponding certificate or pass slip
  • Include your ‘O’ Level certificate or pass slip that confirms you earned at least a Credit in both Mathematics and English.
